We are raised to help people, raised to believe that’s the right thing to do, but what thanks do we ever really get?
Nothing. Absolutely nothing.
The true gestures of kindness are those that go unrewarded.
While these acts are not done for reward it suddenly becomes clear how people see these gifts.
They expect them.
By the same hand that takes and takes, they are blinded by the self proclaimed “gods” and “deities” who spout thier sob stories and finally rob them blind.
We should give without the thought of reward, but should we take without thought of the cost?
