A Faceless Man

As the faceless man walks
He hears words and phrases but no one really talks
Watching their dreams pass them by
He stops and stares always wondering, why?

As the faceless man takes another step
He remembers the people on his travels he’s met,
Their faces friendly brave and just
Then there was one, one governed by lust…

As the faceless man leaves this world behind
He knows no one will remember he was once kind
Bittre and cruel he became over time
Tired he had grown, but was no less Devine.

As the faceless man walks in the shadows
He walks towards a golden meadow
There he will find her, waiting for him
But will she forgive his life filled with sin?
