As the hour glass is turned the sands of time trickle away,
Each grains the falls we wish it would stay,
To give us more time and prolong the end,
We watch the sands fall and so our hearts do mend,
As the last of the many fall,
It’s time to leave the past and no longer stall,
Forgetting that which once tore us down,
Once the glass is empty we no longer frown,
Time has run out on the pain of the past,
It’s true what they say the pain did not last,
A new hour glass is turned the future is here.
